Welcome to LayeredLava, one of the ways I share my ideas and the things I make with the world!
I've always liked to tinker, make things, and figure out how things work. This was usually limited to light modifications, or making things out of wood, until I got into 3D printing in 2024, taught myself CAD, and took things to the next level!
Professionally, I work in the New Product Development space, love consumer products, kids toys, cooking, coffee, and the outdoors. You'll see my passions reflected in my products!
What makes my shop different is that almost everything I offer began as something I wanted for myself, my kids, or to make as a gift for someone. I didn't start an Etsy shop then try to figure out what to sell... I began designing my coffee station to be exactly the way I wanted it, then when I shared my setup online people kept asking me where they could buy it!
This has been a fun journey so far, and my kids are loving their roles as product and durability testers, along with having a "toy factory" in our home!
