Announcement    Welcome to the greatest collection of cut coins, world 'round. Every piece you'll find here was hand cut using rudimentary, nonelectric hand tools and a degree of patience that I still can't understand.
Roughly half of what you will see here were actually world coins once in circulation. The other half are a mixture of medallions, tokens, bullion, silver bars, and various other small, cuttable relatives to the coin.
Whatever you'll find here will fall under the the categorical umbrella of 'coin cutting', possibly the world's most impressive (and little known) example of fine craftsmanship.
Please take a look around, and let me know if I'm missing anything.

Fastest jewelers saw in the west...

My coin cutting career began when I bumped into a homeless fellow in my hometown when I was a teenager. He was cutting a crude version of "George Puffing", and I fell immediately in love (with the craft, not the man). I asked if he would teach me the craft directly, to which he gave me a solid, "No. You'd end up a bum, just like me.". So instead I followed him around for a week or so before he left town, making mental notes all the while. One by one, I gathered the tools (all the wrong ones, of course), and sat down for the most frustrating year of my life. But I endured, and after about a year I finally had something that I considered 'saleworthy', and I made my first sale. I got better from there, and the rest is history.

I also play clawhammer banjo, write jokes & have lived in Bisbee, AZ, Portland, OR, Missoula, MT and Brooklyn NYC (Bedstuy - Do or die!)

I'm Rob & I've been cutting coins for over twenty years. I'm not sure where the time went, but it's probably in the pile of metal dust at my feet.
