Vintage sizing differs to modern sizes. international sizes vary, as do those depending on manufacturer.

I give equivalent modern Australian sizes together with physical measurements of each garment (in both cm and inches, noting any stretch factor).

Please only rely on the physical measurements provided, noting they are of the actual garment itself and are not body measurements. Compare them to to your own body measurements or even better, a similar garment of your own, to ensure an accurate fit before purchase.

Taken laid flat, ignoring seams. The following measurements should be doubled for the full circumference:

Bust - pit to pit
Waist - taken at smallest point of waist
Hips - taken 22cm/8.7" below natural waist
Underbust - side to side beneath bust
Shoulders - seam to seam at back
Openings (neck, arm, leg, bottom hem): side to side at relevant opening

The following measurements are fixed, and do not require to be doubled

Sleeve length - upper shoulder seam to sleeve hem
Inseam - crotch to hem
Rise - waist seam to crotch seam
Full length - mid-shoulder to hem

Where possible, all items are laundered, hand-restored if needed, then placed in storage. They are then double steamed before despatch.

This doesn't include extremely delicate items or those such as leather goods, shoes, hats, etc which may require specialist cleaning.

As vintage lovers know some items may have very minor odours from age and/or long term storage. These generally fade with a sunny airing or you may elect to specialist clean them at your discretion.

Please be assured any major or noticeable odours or other defects are clearly noted in my listings!

Vintage condition retains minor signs of wear, rust marks, age spots/stains, piling, threading/pulls/fading, pinholes/ladders, loose hems/missing stitching, stretched elastic, loose fastenings, missing beads/sequins, wear to soles or straps of shoes/bags or other signs of its previous life. Many items are 30 years old+ and it's rare to find a vintage item 100% free from defects! Minor imperfections are accepted or considered to be part of the item. This sentiment is echoed in the statement 'vintage condition' and embraced as part of its life story.

I take great pains to point out even minor issues to the best of my ability! All major/noticeable issues are very clearly photographed, noted in my descriptions /reflected in price. See below!

Pristine: like new / possibly new old stock (NOS, ie with tags). No wear or defects whatsoever

Excellent: little to no signs of wear, no obvious defects that affect the garment in any major way. Any minor flaws are inconspicuous and do not detract from the overall functionality or appearance of the item.

Good: obvious defects such wear, fading, discoloration or other imperfections, yet still maintains overall integrity, use and aesthetic appeal

Fair: major defects which obviously affect the garment such as pronounced fading, fraying, stains, or repairs. This typically applies to antique pieces possessing exceptional rarity or historical significance.

All items are posted with tracking within 1-3 business days.

International: Standard: 5-9 business days. Express: 3-6 business days. International items tracked until leaving Australia after which please inquire with your local post office.
