Creative crafts for individuals young at heart.
Leaf & Line was foraged from my desire to design creative gifts as unique as my friends and loved ones. When my loved ones began getting married, I designed and painted custom salad bowls, tailored to their interests. Naturally, when my friends began having children, I searched for gifts that reflected my friends, and the joyful new chapter of their lives. After searching, I resolved to branch out and create heartfelt child-friendly gifts, which were so well received that I was inspired to share them with fellow handy-craft appreciators on Etsy.
Feeling left out, adults? Don't fret! Adult accessories will soon start appearing in Leaf & Line. Please send me a message if a fabric or ribbon catches your eye and you would like to see it used in an adult accessory!
I get crafty in a little corner office/craft area in our two-bedroom apartment. My husband, Tom, is my chief fabric-thread matcher and occasional courier. My two furry assistants, Boo and Radley, are hoping I will one day make a cat toy.... just. for. them.
By day, and some nights, I work full-time as a wetland biologist for a nonprofit environmental conservation organization. Leaf and Line started while I was working towards my Ph.D. in ecology, and continues to be a lovely creative endeavor that I cherish.
My chosen supplies reflect my interests in and out of my scholarship. I aim for the sustainable when I can; whether it be re-purposing used items (that 2007 costume necklace – great bead source!), opting for post-consumer or recycled paper, or searching for inspiring vintage or organic fabrics. I also aim to reuse and use recyclable packaging when shipping items.
