She worked with me on finishes with great care and kindness for a beautifully crafted, natural product—and sent it in record time from Hawaii. She’s absolutely wonderful! If you’re looking for a gorgeous lap desk made from quality wood, I highly recommend this artist! UPDATE: I opened this gift for my husband and it is GORGEOUS! It is the most beautiful piece of walnut I have ever seen—so beautiful, I wish she could make my furniture, LOL! The construction on the padded side is PERFECT, with a beautify piece of linen. This artist is PERFECTION!!!!!!!!!

5 out of 5 starsI love my new lap desk! The seller was very helpful, and clearly very talented. I asked if it was possible to add a handle to make the lap desk easier to pick up. I explained that I recently had shoulder replacement surgery and am very limited in what I can lift. She not only agreed to add a handle, she also suggested that if weight was a concern she recommended ordering natural cherry or natural walnut since both weigh a little less than the other woods. Based on her suggestion, I went with natural cherry. It's beautiful, and very comfortable! I couldn't be happier.

Do you accept custom orders?
We do! We've had the pleasure of creating customized lap desks of many different sizes, with alternate wood options, and even with varying cushion thicknesses. Just send us a message with your request before placing an order, and we'll be happy to let you know what we can do.
Please note that some custom orders may require an additional fee to cover the cost of extra or special-order materials.
Do you provide gift wrapping?
Yes! All of our desks are wrapped in recycled kraft paper to help protect them during transit, and many people find them ready to gift right out of the box. We can add twine and a custom gift note at no extra cost. If your purchase is marked as a gift and you've included a gift note, we'll do this automatically.
However, we're also happy to provide more elegant gift wrapping than the normal kraft paper and twine to make your gift feel even more special. For this option, just add gift wrapping during checkout.
How long does shipping take?
USA (FREE SHIPPING): Most US orders ship via UPS Ground. If you're located in Hawaii, shipping typically takes 1-2 days. West Coast orders usually take 2-6 days, and Central or East Coast orders can take 5-10 days. Upgrading to USPS Priority or FedEx 2Day may reduce shipping time, especially if you're in the central or eastern USA.
**Please note: These delivery times are not guaranteed, and may take longer during the busy holiday season. These estimates also do not include production turnaround time.**
INTERNATIONAL: Deliveries can take anywhere from a few days to several weeks depending on your location. Feel free to contact us for a shipping time estimate to your address, as well as any potential shipping cost discounts.
Can you rush time-sensitive orders?
Our desks are custom-made to order, and are usually ready to ship out within a week. If your order is time-sensitive, feel free to send us a message, and we can advise an expected turnaround time for specific product selections. We'll do our best to get your order out as quickly as possible. Shipping upgrades may also help speed up your delivery.
How should I care for my lap desk?
Wood: Our wood surfaces are finished with a durable, oil-based polyurethane to help protect against stains and moisture. The wood surfaces do not require wax, oil, or conditioner, and can be wiped clean with a damp cloth. However, the surface may be damaged by heavy impact or hard/sharp objects. Care for your desk like you would any piece of wood furniture.
Fabric: Gently spot clean with a damp cloth and/or fabric-safe spray. Do not soak your fabric cushion in water.
Please note, our lap desks are intended for indoor use.
What should I do if my order arrives damaged?
We will package your order as securely as possible to prevent accidental damage during transit. However, if your order arrives damaged, please save all packaging materials and contact us right away – preferably with a picture of the damaged product and packaging. We will do our best to arrange a replacement as soon as we can.
Do you offer any Kamaʻāina discounts?
If you are ordering to an address within the state of Hawaii, please contact us! Our pricing includes standard shipping to mainland addresses, but our postage costs are lower in-state. We would love to pass along those savings to you. 🤙
