Toy Safety
I suggest monitoring and removing any toys or toy parts that may put your bird at risk of injury. Particular hazards to watch for are loose strings, loops, vine, etc that can get entangled around their head or feet. Tighten metal links when you put a new toy in their house.
I strongly advise against attaching toys with random household items such as cotton string, wire, twist ties, fishing line, tape, etc. Always verify any rope and twine is non toxic and free of unsafe coatings and chemicals. Hobby stores and home improvement stores typically do not sell bird safe rope. They may sell hemp or jute, but it is most likely chemically treated and therefore toxic to your bird. When in doubt, don't use it.
