Hello Everyone! My name is Hakimuddin, and here is my little story.
I have been designing leather products from the last 12 years.
I started working for a local leather saddle manufacturer and following that I worked for a leather apparel and bag company for the next 6 years.
After gaining experience in the industry, I established my own small leather retail store in the older part of the city, Udaipur.
The idea of incepting the Leatherewery on Etsy was to expand it and secondary, I would like to cater our designed products to people with a thin budget; In the line of this business, I have learned that there are many known leather companies which source their products from small manufacturers like us at low prices and tag them in the stores at hefty prices.
My objective is to cater our products to a maximum number of people and eliminate the factor of exclusivity based on the high price of the products.
We work with two small family businesses; we design all the leather products and collaborate with them as they craft the products from the scratch. Once the finished products are delivered to us we dye, wax or oil them and give an appropriate tan.
One of the artisan families is based in Kanpur and other is in Jodhpur, both the families have been crafting the leather products by using the traditional technique from the British colonial era.
We also personalize products by giving an option of laser engraving on the product with logo/phrase/initials.
We would love to customize the bag as per the customer’s demand if it would be possible for us, so don’t hesitate to write to us if you have any query or suggestion.

Ramera is a family who has been crafting our designed product from the very day we started our business. This family is in leather crafting from British colonial time, 4th generation in the line. These artisans are some of the finest in the region, they are passionate about their art of crafting.
