Creativity and Love in Every Piece
We're Leefla, a family-run Etsy shop with creativity and love. My talented mom is the artist behind our ceramics, and she's my biggest inspiration. My husband, Sang, handles all the behind-the-scenes magic, while I take care of the online stuff. We stumbled into the Etsy world after the COVID madness. My mom was about to close her offline shop, but we decided to give it a shot online. Turns out, customers loved her creations. So here we are, still going strong thanks to the amazing support from our customers and Etsy community.
Selling on Etsy means so much to me, especially as a mom of two boys. I was a full-time film journalist before taking my Etsy career seriously, but life is full of unexpected events. My youngest was born prematurely at 27 weeks, requiring constant care and leading me to quit my job. However, I wasn’t worried too much because I could see the opportunities with Etsy if I tried hard enough. That's how I began taking our little online shop more earnestly.
Once, my mom shared a cherished childhood story with me. As a kid, she would gather petals, dig a hole in the garden, arrange them beautifully, cover them with a piece of glass, and then hide it all with soil. She’d invite her parents, siblings, and friends over and reveal her sweet little flower arrangement by brushing away the soil with her little fingers. I believe she revisits these memories through her ceramics. This story is my favorite, and it holds even more meaning when I think about our Etsy shop journey.
