MATERIALS & CARE
All my jewelry is handmade using high-quality metal, often sterling silver. Read below to learn more about these metals, and some tips for jewelry care.
Sterling silver is an alloy of 92.5% silver and 7.5% other base metals. It is considered a precious metal. Sterling silver will oxidize over time. You can restore its shine by polishing with a jewelry cleaning cloth. Or you can leave it as is, as the patina adds more character! Storing your silver with other metals will speed up oxidization.
Care instructions
A simple way to keep your jewelry beautiful, is to always take off your jewelry first and put it on last. This helps limit exposure to moisture (shower, pool, ocean) and chemical products (sunscreen, lotion, hairspray, perfume) which will speed up oxidation. When jewelry is not being worn, store it away from sunlight.
To clean your jewelry, gently wipe it with a jewelry polishing cloth, or clean it with mild soap and water.
Gift wrapping and packaging
All jewelry in LessonLites is shipped in a gift box and includes a bow. Prices are never shipped out in an order. Eco-friendly packing is used whenever possible. When you mark your order as a gift you have an option to include a message with your purchase.
