We are very excited to announce that we will be opening our very own website next Saturday, June 15th, 2019!! Our Etsy shop is now closed and all Inventory has been removed as we prepare for the launch. We will no longer be taking any orders on the Etsy platform and all CS must be directed to lifeafterdeathdesigns [!at] outlook.com

This has been a long time goal of ours and one major step closer to our overall business goals for the year. We have been on Etsy for over 3 years now (ever since we started our business in fact!) We have received over 800 5-star reviews, met some of the most talented makers, and wonderful customers we could have ever hoped for. We never could have imagined the journey ahead of us that fateful day we opened our Etsy shop. Etsy is a wonderful place to find small businesses, artists and cool brands and we will always cherish the years we spent on the Etsy platform. Though, as a growing brand, we are excited about this next chapter!

    Life After Death Designs does not accept Cancellations, Returns or Exchanges for any other reason other than the item did not meet the expectation we provided to you. We do our best to provide all of the information describing our products clearly in our listing description and providing pictures. This means we do not accept any of the above if you change your mind, didn't read the listing throughly or didn't like the item. If you believe your order has a manufacturing defect, or are unhappy with the quality of your order please contact us and we will accommodate on a case by case basis. Please purchase responsibly and review our product listing completely as well as our shop policies before purchasing.

    EUOPEAN UNION DIRECTIVE ON CONSUMER RIGHTS "Distance Selling Laws"
    For all Buyers from the European Union consumers are given special legal protections for online purchases. You do have 14 days to return your order, however; you are responsible for all shipping expenses and additional Custom/VAT fees. You may be able to claim back any Customs/ VAT fees from the HMRC for return goods however this is the buyers responsibility. We will not accept any returns after the 14 day period, this 14 day period starts the from the day the item is delivered to you. You will be obligated to return the said item(s), or provide proof of shipment (with tracking) within 21 days otherwise your return/ exchange will be denied. This law is exempt for all perishable, personalized custom, and hygienic products. Please be sure to do your own research on these laws.

    PAYMENT:
    We accept Direct Checkout for our items which includes Visa, MasterCard, Amex, Discover, PayPal, Etsy Gift Cards & Apple Gift Cards.

    TAXES/ Customs & VAT FEES:
    International orders may be subject to customs fees, or importing taxes which ARE NOT INCLUDED in the sale price, and is the buyers responsibility. Please do your own research on your countries importing laws before purchasing.

    GEORGIA RESIDENTS TAXES:
    As we are based out of Georgia, it is state law to pay state taxes. If you reside in Georgia, you will be charged a GA tax fee upon purchasing which is calculated based on your zip code.
    Shipping
    We are committed to shipping your item(s) as soon as possible! Every listing is set to an estimated shipping/ processing time. We will do our best to meet this timeframe and will contact you otherwise. Once the items are shipped we are not responsible for any shipping delays due to wether, or Holidays. Please consider the additional time needing for shipping if you need an order by a specific date.

    COMBINED SHIPPING:
    Message us if you'd like to combine shipping, and we will let you know if it can be done!

    MADE TO ORDER PRODUCTION TIMES:
    Please view the item listing for an updated production time. Production time CANNOT BE EXPEDITED ON "MADE TO ORDER" DESIGNS. Most of the time we beat our production time, however we cannot guarantee that we can get your order out any sooner than the proposed shipping date. If you need the item sooner than the proposed shipping date please contact us, and we will do our best to accommodate.

    TRACKING:
    Tracking information will be emailed to your email associated to your Etsy account, or email provided upon checkout. You will receive this tracking information as soon as a label is made for your order. Once you receive tracking information please allow 1 full business day for there to be tracking activity. If you experience any shipping delays all inquires must be directed to the Shipping Carrier. You will be provided with a tracking number which will allow USPS to assist you. In the event there are any complications during delivery, please understand that the issue may be quicker resolved by you and USPS directly. We know how stressful that can be so please feel free to contact us if you need assistance.

    DAMAGES FROM SHIPPING:
    We take pride in how we ship our items using only the best quality shipping materials. We take our time to wrap your item(s) with bubble wrap, use packing paper and high quality shipping boxes. Other reinforcements may be present on larger items to prevent any damage from shipping. Nothing is more disappointing as seeing something we handcrafted destroyed from shipping and having an upset customer. Therefore, we package every item with the UPMOST care, QC each package before it ships and clearly mark the shipment as "FRAGILE".

    If you believe your order has damages from shipping, please contact us right away so we can make it right. Please provide pictures and a description of the damage(s), as well as pictures of the box and any protective materials shipped with it. Also, please hold onto damaged item, as well as the box and protective materials. We can file a claim for you on your behalf and discuss replacement options.

    SHIPPING CLAIMS:
    If your order is damaged from Shipping we will assist you on filing a claim. Please note that while we are willing to help, we are not solely responsible for getting your claim approved or replacing the item is the claim is not approved. This is a very rare but in some cases USPS may require more information, or and to inspect the claimed item(s) before approval, this will be the buyers responsibility. Claims that are denied may be appealed up to 3 times, we are willing to assist you on these appeals the best we can though please note that as we are a very small company which consists of only two people, claims and appeals may be quicker resolved if you handle it directly with USPS. In the event your attempt at filing a claim or appeal is completely denied, we will do whatever we can to offer you something to make up for it. In some cases, we may offer a small discount. Please understand that while it is out top priority to get your item(s) to you safely, we are a completely separate entity from the Postal Service and some things will be out of our control. We will always do whatever is in our power to assist you.

    PACKAGE RETURNED TO SENDER:
    If your order is returned, we will hold the item(s) and contact you immediately. If the package was returned to us due to an error in the shipping address we do expect you to be responsible for additional postage. Please be sure your shipping address is accurate!

    INCORRECT ADDRESS
    If you placed an order with an incorrect address please contact us immediately! We can edit your address manually if the address is within the same Country. If there are any postage overages due to change of address we do expect you to fulfill this before shipment.
    If your order has already been shipped to the incorrect address you may put in a request with USPS for a "Package Intercept Request" which will re-route the shipment to a new address. This can be done using your Tracking number online by typing in your Tracking Number and selecting "Delivery Options", or by phone. Intercepts do have a small fee which the buyer is responsible for. If the Intercepts is unsuccessful we would recommend sending a letter to the incorrect address requesting the new resident to take your package to the local post office to return to sender or you may then contact the Post Office and ask them for additional assistance. Package interceptions are not guaranteed, and we cannot take any responsibility for mis-delivery, or intercept charges.

    INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING (Customs and import taxes cont'):
    Any customs fees, taxes, tariffs, duties, etc. that may be incurred at the time of delivery are the result of your countries tax regulations, and cannot be estimated by us. We are not responsible for these fees, and legally cannot assume them. Please do your research if this is a concern. If in the event you encounter this issue, we will refer you to our International Shipping Policy and will not be held responsible.
    Additional policies and FAQs
    CUSTOM ORDERS:
    We LOVE getting creative with our customers, and making all of your coffin dreams come true!
    We dedicate a lot of time into discussing your ideas, and designing your item(s) for you. For this reason, we do ask that you commit to your custom request from the very start. We understand thats sometimes you may just be interested in some information, and that is okay too! Communication is key!

    At this time we are only accepting a limited amount of Custom Orders a month. If we are already committed to Customs for the month we will add you to a waiting list.

    PRIVATE LISTINGS/ CUSTOM ORDERS:
    You will receive a link to a private listing through your custom request message. All details discussed will be reiterated in the product description. This is the information we will reference during production, so please read the product description before purchasing! Even if information was discussed in a message, we need it to be on the order form and while I do my best to include all of the information we do not want any delays!

    ALL SALES ARE FINAL FOR CUSTOM ORDERS. If you receive your order and you believe there is a manufacturing defect, or shipping damages please refer to our SHIPPING POLICY. If you are unhappy with the quality, or believe there was a misunderstanding with the design please contact us so we can get down to the bottom of it!

    CUSTOM ORDER PAYMENT:
    At this time we require payment in full prior to production, the purpose of this policy is to protect us from investing time and money spent on a custom item.

    CUSTOM SHIPPING OVERAGES:
    If you request an item we have not made before, or we are unable to predict the package specifications we will do our best to provide a estimated quote. This quote is not guaranteed and may be over, or under what was originally quoted. If there are any overages, we will refund them to you upon shipment. If there air any overages, we do expect you to be responsible for the added postage. We will be sure to discuss all of the details prior to any purchase and let you know if we are able to you. In some cases, shipping may be charged separately upon completion of the item.

    SALES/ DISCOUNTS/ COUPONS:
    Please, no double dipping. Only one discount per transaction. Coupons MAY NOT be used on marked down items, or during a sale event where no code is required. Coupons may not be used for pre-orders or custom orders either. If you do this we will contact you to make you aware of our policy, and arrange payment options for the difference.

    "BUNDLE DISCOUNT"
    We do not offer you any bundle discounts for ordering multiple items. We can only offer combined shipping.

    PRIVACY POLICY

    Life After Death Designs has access to limited personal data for core business purposes ONLY.
    When you place an order with us, we will receive your name, delivery address and email address from Etsy. We will ONLY use this information to process and deliver your order, or to better assist you with any queries you have related to that order. If you send us a message using the contact button on Etsy, we will receive your username and email address only.
    The only circumstances in which we will share your data is in processing your order or complying with the law. We will never use or pass on your information to third parties for marketing purposes or any other purpose, other than the circumstances listed below, or add you to any mailing list without your explicit consent. The circumstances in which we may share your data are:

    • With Etsy to comply with my obligations.
    • With delivery companies to fulfil your order, or when filing a claim by your request.
    • To comply with legal or tax obligations.

    We will only retain your details for as long as necessary in order to process the transaction and will securely store any data collected during that period. We retain personal data related to orders or customer queries for six years. After this time we will delete your data from our records.

    You have the right to know what personal data we hold about you, and to ask for that data to be changed or deleted.
