What type of paper should I use?
Please use white paper/cardstock as any background colours form part of the design. Fine Art paper matte is a good choice.
Standard copy or printer paper is fairly thin (paper weight: 80-90gsm), I’d advise using a slightly heavier weight of paper such as 200 gsm.
How to choose size?
All my prints come in different ratio files. This way you can choose the ratio that suits the size you wish to print. All files are scalable.
Use 5x7 file for printing 5"x7", A5, A4, A3, A2, A1, 50x70cm
Use 6x8 file for printing: 6x8, 9x12, 12x16, 15x20, 18x24 inch.
Use 8x10 file for printing : 4x5, 8x10, 16x20inch
Use 8x12 file for printing 4x6, 6x9, 8x12, 10x15, 12x18, 16x24, 20x30, 24x36 inch.
Use 11x14 file for printing 11"x14"
where to print printable art?
1. Print at home
This is the easiest, cheapest, and fastest method!
You can use an inkjet or laser color printer. It is best to print on a high quality paper such as a premium matte cardstock for best results. Since most readily available cardstock and printer paper is 8.5 x 11 you will need to trim the paper if your printable is 8 x 10 for example.
Before printing, make sure your printer settings are set up for high quality printing, high quality paper (if using it).
2. Local Print Shop
You can print at your local print shop like Kinko's, Staples, Walgreen's, Costcotake the file on a USB flash drive with you.
