Our Story
Lillicity is a mom and daughter team that has an appreciation for textiles. Back in 2018 Lilli and Jessica got together with this idea of making linen items in Canada to sell across the globe. The vision came alive early 2019. Lilli has a background of sewing and designing +30 years, while Jessica grew up learning all her tricks from her mother. She also inherited her mom's youthful drive of running a successful and joyous business. As a unit the most important part was always being able to serve linen items that people would love and use for the rest of their lives.
What is Linen?
Linen is made from fibers of the flax plant. Flax itself is resilient and can easily be grown in poor soil and uses less water than cotton to grow. Because it’s made from earth linen is biodegradable. The strong fibers allow the material to withstand a large amount of washings without losing its properties.
Our ancestors have used linen for thousands of years. And reasonably so, linen is highly versatile. From keeping you warm in the winter and cool in the summer, to being able to absorb moisture without holding bacteria. It’s breathable, dries faster than cotton, and even becomes softer and develops more character with each wash. Flax has been known to be used in medicine to cover and heal wounds.

We understand that buying items online can be intimidating, that’s why we ensured to take the extra steps to choose the perfect linen.
Our European grown linen is pre-washed and has a less than 2% shrinkage rate. While we offer un-dyed natural linen, we ensured that our coloured fabric only touched earth friendly dyes.
Our fabric is also Oeko-tex certified.
