LinenLark began as a passion for artistry and color—a journey that started with my decade-long career as a wedding and family photographer and studio decorator. I’ve always been drawn to the details that make moments unforgettable: the soft drape of fabric, the perfect hue of ribbon, the delicate textures that elevate an invitation suite or a bridal bouquet.
My love for handcrafted props led me to experiment with textiles, creating custom colors for wedding couples seeking something truly unique. What began as a small-scale creative endeavor soon evolved into an exploration of fabric dyeing and the pursuit of perfect, timeless shades.
Originally working with silk, I discovered the ethical concerns surrounding its production and made a conscious decision to turn to cotton—a sustainable, plant-based alternative that embodies softness, elegance, and durability. This shift was a turning point, and it led me to develop my own signature method of crafting frayed-edge ribbons by hand. The edges are left frayed but treated with high-temperature steam, a technique that fluffs the delicate cotton fibers, enhances texture, and prevents excessive unraveling—making our ribbons perfect for wedding stationery, floral styling, artisan gift wrapping, and event decor.

What started as a one-woman hobby-business in my small home workshop near the Carpathian Mountains has now grown into an international business, supplying designers, florists, and artists worldwide. Our ribbons became so loved by wedding invitation designers that we expanded our production to keep up with demand.
