Linenbee path to more simple way of being
Linenbee was born after we started to renovate and arrange our more than century old little house in the middle of Latvian countryside. We wanted to have completely natural bed, kitchen and bath linen for ourselves. Flax linen was the obvious choice for the many reasons:
♥ It is well known for its high quality and ecological nature. Linen is extremely durable. At our farmhouse we have close to 100 years old linen tablecloths, hand towels and bedding. We hope that also our produce will make a lasting family heirloom for you.
♥ Linen has a character - it becomes softer and softer with wash and wear. It also one of the few fabrics that looks amazing both wrinkled and ironed.
♥ Linen is also extremely comfortable - it is cool in summer and warm in winter, it is antiallergenic, soaks water well and dries quickly.
♥ And above all linen flax is an ecologically-responsible fibre: zero waste, zero irrigation, zero defoliant, zero GMO. As we are establishing our own organic farmstead being eco-friendly is really important for us.
The damage to the health of humans and earth done by fast fashion production, synthetic materials and mindless consumption is too much to bear. We want something that is eco-friendly, long lasting and pure.
So after making linen items for ourselves, we followed the recommendation of our friends and extended family who were also appreciating the fine qualities of linen, and started Linenbeeshop to share the principles we see in linen.
