Welcome to my world ;-)
My name is Lisa, I am a mother of two, a wife, sister, aunt, vegan, jewelry maker, potter, crafter and a lover of life.
For the past 20 years, I have taught art. For 18 of those years I have taught art to special needs students ages 3-21 & I have been consistently inspired and amazed everyday.
The genuine treatment of other people, those less fortunate, the voiceless, are what drive me to make positive choices in my life when purchasing clothes, jewelry, food, furnishings. Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, are words I live by.
My jewelry and pottery were born from that continued passion to teach the public, through art, about change. I purchase from fair trade company's only, I recycle old parts, or I hand make the item. Nature's Energy is the result of many years of exploration into what I really wanted to create and what information I hoped people would take away with them in each piece of jewelry or pottery.
Each piece is unique and one of a kind. I may use the same color, metal, charm, or element, but I make every effort to change the design as to keep that bohemian feel.
Copper is my metal of choice because of its high conductivity, which means that it is very good for transmitting electric current or, in my situation, transmitting the energy properties of crystals and fair trade beads & charms. I believe the positive energy of the crystals and/or the positive energy of the people who created the fair trade items will transmit to the buyer, completing a very cool circle.
I am always open, constantly learning, invariably falling, eternally grateful, repeatedly surprised, and excited to share my creations with you.
