Catching those little bits of pee and poo so you don’t have to!

I purchased the Meowant Self Cleaning Litter Box and I was surprised how well it worked and how convenient it has been. Although there was one thing that obviously needed improvement. The size of the holes in the litter screen were too large which allowed small clumps to fall through and remain in the cat litter. If I wanted to keep the litter as clean as I had with my previous litter box, I had to use a scooper to remove the small clumps that were left behind. This defeated the purpose of a self cleaning litter box. I didn’t want to add a second layer of mesh on top of the existing screen because it could get messy in between the two layers. After some trial and error, I was able to 3d print a set of inserts that decreased the size of the holes and looked as if they were part of the original screen. The best part is that now I no longer have to worry about small clumps. The litter stays clean without much effort. Wipe down the litter box every now and then and dispose of the bag when it is full. Happy cats, happy me, hopefully happy you if you are interested in giving them a try.
