A lifetime of crafting.
After decades of collecting craft materials and being pulled towards shiny beads like a little magpie, several years ago The Knitter decided to build on a history of jewelry making to make jewels for fiber work and Little Knitty Bird was born. Little Knitty Bird flew with us from Colorado to Virginia and from suburbs to our final roost on a farm in the Virginia countryside.
It was at Honeysuckle Hill that we finally began our great homestead experiment known as Hootenanny Hollow Homestead and two years, crates of vegetables, bowls of eggs, and a gaggle of ducks and chickens later we're ready to start the next project. Now as the Knitter and the Homesteader we embark on going beyond stitch markers and adding hand crafted soaps, nostepinnes, and a variety of other items for home and hearth. We test our recipes and designs at home and when perfected offer them to our customers, from our farm to yours.
