Little Miss Mod Shop: Vintage Item & Retro Inspired Accessories, Stationary & Decor for the Modern Girl!

Welcome to Little Miss Mod Shop on Esty!

I have been an avid collector for years. I absolutely LOVE kitsch, items from the 1950's: Anthropomorphic kitchenware, mermaid wall plaques and vintage ceramics by Lefton, Holt Howard, Norcrest and Napco (just to name a few). I also enjoy everything about the MOD era!

On one of my "treasure hunts" I came across an eclectic little shop that had about a dozen, vintage Japanese pose dolls for sale. I have a background in Art History, Animation and design but I had never seen these dolls before. I knew that my daughter (an avid Anime fan) would go nuts for them! I was right! I was thrilled to find something that combined both of our interests (it isn't easy to get kids into "Vintage" in our modern "technology era"). We bought three dolls that day and this is how the "big eyed" madness started. We now have a large collection of Japanese Pose Dolls (many brands, shapes and sizes) collected from all over the world.

In December 2014, we opened LittleMissModShop on Etsy so that we could share our collection with others. All of the photos, artwork and products are originals, created at my home studio near Vancouver, Canada. I hope they make you smile!

We will also be selling some of our dolls from time to time. Who knows, maybe they will inspire you to create (or add to) your own collection.
