For as long as I can remember I always had a love of fibre arts. My mother was a knitter, my friends mother did macramé and a family friend did cross stitch and embroidery. I was so fascinated by the motions of the hands and suddenly something beautiful came to life.
I wanted to learn to knit, but my mother did not have the patience to teach me so she gave me a crochet hook and a bit of yarn, showed me the chain stitch and I was off! Back then we didn't have the internet to look up different stitches so I was very limited. Then a neighbour helped me one day. She taught me a variety of stitches and from that day I never looked back!
Fast forward to 2016 and my daughter was pregnant with our first grandbaby!! Well that sent me into overdrive, buying yarn and hooks and patterns galore. I made so many things for the baby. I even took a blanket I was making on a train holiday through Europe. It was a well travelled blanket.
I decided that I wanted to do more and as I did my family encouraged me to branch out into creating and selling.
I've come along way since that first crochet hook and its been an amazing journey and I can not wait to see where it takes me.
