Inspiring you to Live Creatively
Some people believe that creativity is something you either have - or you don't.
I disagree!
I believe there's creativity designed into every single human being. The difference is how it's built into each person individually, and how it's expressed.
From my earliest memories, I've dabbled in creative expression - trying out all sorts of ways to use my mind and hands to make something better, more useful, or simply just beautiful. And through the process, I learned a lot about myself - and about creativity in general.
In the fall of 2013, I launched To Work with My Hands, a creativity blog where I began sharing creative projects I had my hands in. Over the past 5 years the blog has changed, grown, and been refined as I discovered more about this process and yearning in all of us - and about my own creativity as well.
Now I focus on repurposed and upcycled projects - many from thrifted finds, and my favorite slogan is "a little paint can be totally transformational!" It's amazing what paint can do to bring an old piece back to life or to add extra personality to a repurposed project.
And when I began designing my own stencils to add even more painting possibilities to my pieces, I discovered a creative outlet that stretched my imagination, took my projects to a new level, and proved to be one of my most satisfying creative pursuits.
My stencil designs are inspired by the projects I make, the things I love, and the world and people around me. I hope you'll enjoy using them as much as I enjoy designing and making them for you.
