"Custom" is in my blood!
My name is Matt Logan and I live in Hildebran, NC. I have been interested in knives ever since I was a little boy and my father would take me to the local gun shows and buy me a knife! My grandfather was a lifelong welder and machinist and owned Logan Ornamental Iron Works, in Taylorsville, NC. My father is also a machinist and custom gunsmith, who ran Logan Custom Guns for many years. I think that "Custom" is in my blood! I have always been one that wanted to have something a little different than what everyone else had, and believed that I could improve upon the design and make it my own! I believe it is this love of the craft and patient attention to detail that makes my knives special. I believe a knife first and foremost is an essential tool. Having said that I also believe that a knife should be as aesthetically pleasing as it is functional. That is why I only use premium materials and quality construction methods in my knife making. My knives aren't mass produced, I make each one of them by hand from start to finish. Everyone asks me how much time it takes to make a knife and I tell them it depends, but typically I'll spend somewhere between 12-15 hours total on a knife. One thing about my knives that I would like you to know is that I don't scrimp on quality just to quickly put out a product. I'm a bit of a perfectionist and I certainly obsess over the details, just ask my wife!
