It was meant to be!
Once upon a time, on the first day of ninth grade, Sam saw Maddie doodling in the margins of her notebook in 2nd period and decided to force her into friendship. The rest is history. Over the course of the next two years, we left no craft uncrafted, no yard ornament unpainted, and no home hair treatment unattempted. After both our families moved away we lost touch, but reconnected seven years later over Maddie's engagement and the endless DIY opportunities it provided. As it turns out, we had both majored in art in college -- Sam specializing in oil painting and drawing, and Maddie in sculpture, ceramics, and art history. Since graduation we've both become interested in calligraphy and paper arts -- and thus, Longhand Edition Arts & Letters was born.
