The Art of Handmade Rugs
Every rug we make carries a story—not only of craftsmanship, but of the hands and people behind it.
At Loom & Tuft, we believe handmade rugs are about much more than beautiful patterns and soft wool. They are about skill, patience, tradition, and creating opportunities for the talented artisans who make each piece.
Women are at the heart of our work. Around 80% of the craftsmanship and production work behind our rugs is carried out by women artisans. Their skill, dedication, and attention to detail can be seen in every knot, every tuft, every carved line, and every finishing touch.
For many of these women, rug making is more than a craft. It is a way to earn with dignity, support their families, develop their skills, and build greater independence through work they are proud of.
Our rugs are made slowly and thoughtfully using quality wool and traditional techniques. From hand-knotted Oushak-inspired designs to richly textured hand-tufted rugs and custom creations, every piece passes through many careful hands before it reaches your home.
Because our rugs are handmade, each one has its own character. Small variations in texture, color, and craftsmanship are not imperfections—they are reminders that a real person made your rug.
When you choose Loom & Tuft, you are choosing more than a rug.
You are choosing handmade craftsmanship.
You are supporting women artisans.
You are bringing a story into your home.
Thank you for valuing handmade work and for helping us create more opportunities for the talented women behind every Loom & Tuft rug.
