Lopaka Designs: Unique and Timeless Inspiration
"Lopaka" is Hawaiian for "Robert". I was born there ... and though I reside in the fantastic Bay Area, my roots are in the Hawaiian Islands. I love antiques, family history, ephemera and making things.
Susan and Bob met while Susan was working in sales and marketing for a semiconductor company in Silicon Valley. Shortly after they got married, Susan opened her first shop, Mrs. B’s Baskets, which catered to the need for specialty gifts at the corporate, professional and personal levels. In April of 2003 they opened Vintages of Los Gatos. This shop combined their diverse strengths with their common love of art and antiques to create a shop unlike any other. Vintages was closed in June 2017 so we could concentrate on our own artwork, jewelry, hand-created objects and greeting cards.
We have now opened a new shop in Los Gatos, CA. Just Write Arts at 322 N Santa Cruz Ave, Los Gatos CA 95030.
Bob, an avid corkscrew and Hawaiiana collector, also spends a lot of time researching and chronicling family history. While operating Vintages, both Bob and Susan "discovered" their creative talents. Now at Lopaka Designs and Just Write Arts, Bob is offering his creations to the world.
