The Leather Feather Shop, handmade in Canada
I have always dreamed of creating my own fashion brand from an early age.
After completing my Fashion Degree from Ryerson University, I moved to the most creative and artistic hub in Canada; Montreal. I worked as an in-house designer for a fashion company, sketching and designing garments that would later hang in their stores all across Canada. I learned a lot while working there, communicating with oversea vendors and the local pattern makers and sewers. It made me realize how important it is to support our Canadian makers and to keep Canadian-made alive.
After a few more years of learning the ropes, I decided to quit my day job and 'Love at First Blush' was born. Since then, my pieces have been featured in magazines such as Flare, Time Out NY, Bust, Canadian Living and fashion editorials such as Zink. Our items have also appeared on television such as Breakfast Television, CTV Canada AM, and a Paramount Feature Film in 2013.
I am continually inspired by nature, winged creatures, and my travels across the world.
