Cada nuevo día nos brinda una nueva oportunidad de revelar quiénes somos al mundo. Creo joyas para ayudar a expresar esas bestias a veces inexplicables e intangibles que habitan en todos nosotros, tanto las oscuras como las claras, las antiguas y las nuevas.
Las semillas de la joyería LoveRoot surgieron cuando trenzaba pulseras de la amistad en la escuela primaria. Luego, en la escuela secundaria, comencé a tejer con cuentas de semillas en un telar, cuentas de arcilla polimérica y, luego, a hacer gargantillas de cáñamo con macramé. Hoy canalizo a mi artista interior usando un soplete, un martillo, alambre, piedras, metal con costra, fósiles, adornos de cerámica, conchas, vidrio soplado, arcilla polimérica, retazos de tela y cualquier otro objeto que encuentre que me hable.
Con el tiempo, mi estudio pasó de ser un sofá desgastado a convertirse en un estudio real, en vivo y exclusivo, en una habitación real con un banco de trabajo real, estantes reales, espacio de expansión y extravagancia. Humilde pero gratificante.

Each new day allows us a fresh chance to reveal who we are to the world. I create jewelry to help express those sometimes inexplicable and intangible beasts that inhabit us all---both dark and light, old and new.
The seeds of LoveRoot jewelry started back when I used to braid friendship bracelets in grade school. It progressed to seed bead weaving on a loom, polymer clay beads, and then to macrame hemp chokers in high school. Today I channel my inner artist using a torch, hammer, wire, stones, crusty metal, fossils, ceramic baubles, shells, lampwork glass, polymer clay, scraps of fabric, and any other found objects that speak to me.
My studio eventually migrated from a worn-out couch to a real, live, dedicated studio in an actual room with an actual workbench, actual shelves, accompanying sprawl, and whimsy. Humble yet fulfilling.
Despite being an introvert and self-avowed hermit, I love connecting with people and sharing thoughts. If you see a stone you like in my shop, have ideas for a custom piece of jewelry, or just want to chat, it would make my day if you dropped me a note.
