Creating jewelry that speaks to the soul
Ever since I was a little girl I have loved to create beautiful things. Forty years later I haven't stopped creating. Creating beauty brings me life. It's part of my life purpose. I MUST CREATE!
I also believe that the most important part of our lives are the relationships we cherish most… family and friends. I love to create jewelry that it not only beautiful, but also speaks to the soul of the person wearing it. When I started my business in November 2012 I sold personalized soldered soldered photo pendants and ornaments… I truly loved creating heirlooms from treasured photos.
The following summer I began creating leather cuffs from thrifted belts for fun. I added metal plates with stamped words of hope and encouragement for family and friends and then began selling them in my shop with an overwhelming response! I love having the opportunity to give discarded belts a new life and purpose. I believe the same about people. It's never to late for us to be redeemed and made into something beautiful. Our lives have a beautiful message to tell. I hope that each piece I create will be a blessing to the soul of the recipient and they will feel loved.
I have also had some amazing opportunities to use my creations to raise money for causes that are near and dear to my heart…I am guided in my purpose by Isaiah 61… to do what I can, with what I have in my hands, to bind up the broken hearted and set the captive free. In 2013 I sold 2 different lines of necklaces with proceeds benefitting organizations fighting human trafficking. That project raised over $10,000. Since then is has been a thrill to my heart to be able to offer my creations for a higher purpose!
About the rest of my life…
I have been married to my hubby for 25 years and we have four incredible kids ages 21 - 14. My life is pretty crazy in this season! Opening my etsy shop has allowed me to share my creations with the world and contribute to the family finances while still being able to be available to manage the home front. I feel very blessed indeed.
Thank you for choosing to shop handmade!
