The Lovely Red Fox started out as many things do: an interest. Growing up, I developed an unexplainable interest in collecting hats, and I was also the recipient of a multitude of old clothes from grandparents, including one special heirloom in particular - my great grandmother's wedding hat - a brown felt cloche with a silver pin, and an accompanying photograph of her on her wedding day. That sparked my interest in collecting vintage items, and awakened a curiosity in the histories of objects and their owners.
The Lovely Red Fox Vintage Co. curates a hand picked collection of vintage goods from household decor to art and kitchenware. Each item has a history, which is what makes them so unique and special. Our favorite part of vintage is the story each piece can tell — who traveled this monogrammed suitcase, and where did they go? Who embroidered these birds? What photographs did this vintage camera take? We love the mystery that accompanies the world of vintage, and knowing that we get to be the next chapter in these items' history.
