PREVENTING TARNISH

Our chains and findings are gold plated or silver plated metals. These can tarnish just like solid gold and silver can. There are several ways to prevent tarnish.

1. Store your jewelry in a sealed zip top baggie with the air removed.
2. Wrap your pieces in Silver Tarnish Cloth or Pacific Cloth, available by the yard at most fabric stores.
3. No-tarnish strips and bags are available at most discount and hobby stores. Follow the manufactures directions for use.
4. Chalk pieces work like tarnish strips to absorb the airborne particles that cause tarnish. Chalk pieces will have to be replaced with fresh pieces every couple of months.
5, Wipe your jewelry down with a jewelry polishing cloth after wearing.

GENERAL CARE FOR YOUR PLATED JEWELRY:
- Don’t let perfume, skin care products and lotions come in contact with your jewelry. These items contain chemicals that can erode plating and also damage pearls and shells. It’s best to avoid contact completely, but if you must use something on your skin that will come in contact with your jewelry, be sure to apply it and let it dry thoroughly before putting on your jewelry.
- Don’t wear your jewelry while showering or bathing for the same reason. Shampoos, conditioners, body wash, etc may contain ingredients harmful to your jewelry.
- Don’t wear your jewelry in pools/spas, swimming in the ocean or exercising. Chlorine, salt and sweat (the salt content in sweat) will

How to Measure Your Bracelet Size -

You'll need a flexible tape measure or piece of string.

Wrap it snugly (but not too tight) around the area of the wrist where you intend to wear the bracelet.

Write down the measurement (or use a ruler to measure the string.) Add 1 inch to your measurement and that is the bracelet size you need to order. You might need to round up to the closest size.

How to Measure Your Necklace Size -

Use a piece of string to loop around your neck and drop down to your desired length. You might want to do this in a mirror to see where your necklace will fall. Measure the string (in inches) to get your desired necklace length.

You can also measure a favorite necklace you already own if you want the same length. Measure the full length including the clasp.

Necklaces can fall differently on each people due to variances in height and weight. Measuring in a mirror is a great way to determine the exact length you want! And if you don't see your desired length in one of my listings, message me and I can create a custom order for you.

Chain and beaded necklace and bracelets will arrive in a pretty blue organza bag with a seashell accent.

Larger wire necklaces come tissue wrapped with a seashell accent ribbon.

Due to the fragile nature of glass, the seashell candle lanterns are bubble wrapped inside a tight card board shipping box to prevent breakage.
