I love painting nostalgic pieces, time stamped from the 20s to midcentury. I've always been a romantic, sensitive, very shy person who spends a lot of time processing feelings. At the same time, I'm drawn to silly humour, utter irreverence, and the imperfect ways we all navigate life. It's a lot. Creative expression has been a Godsend.

Years ago, I found a stash of vintage family photographs, and I was captivated by the romance of captured time, the timeless styles, and the glimpse into lives that had long since passed. I had to paint them! As I got into it, it felt surprisingly intimate, as though I were getting to know people I could otherwise never meet.

As it turns out, that fascination expanded beyond my own family. To this day, one of my favourite flea market finds is a box of old photographs. My purse is often full of long-gone folks I can't wait to go home and paint.

Over time, my creative life has expanded beyond painting to include fine art prints, a book about creativity, a photo book of my art, a colouring book based on my paintings, as well as singing, songwriting, and video work.
