The item was well packaged for shipping and arrived quickly and intact. Item is a little on the pricey side but is of good quality. The glass is thick and hefty. It says the base is black painted wood. It would be a nice to have a natural wood unpainted option. Regardless, I'm glad of my purchase and am contemplating getting the larger size.
