Tout a commencé comme un moyen pour moi de me détendre. Dessiner était — et est toujours — ma façon de ralentir le rythme, et à un moment donné, ces dessins ont commencé à développer leur propre style : quelque chose d’amusant, d’un peu magique, avec un pied dans l’obscurité et l’autre tourné vers les étoiles.

Cette boutique, c'est ce style transposé en un univers. Je ne la perçois pas comme une collection de thèmes épars, mais plutôt comme différentes constellations dans un même ciel : Gothmas y déploie des fantômes et des crânes parés pour Noël, on y trouve des motifs qui témoignent d'une affection (et d'un sarcasme) pour les chiens et les chats, d'autres arborent le drapeau et la nostalgie latine, d'autres encore sont comme un atlas vintage d'oiseaux et de fleurs tout droit sorti d'un vieux livre, et dans un coin, il y a toujours de la place pour un verre de vin et un plateau de fromages.

Chaque motif commence par un croquis dessiné à la main avant de devenir un produit fini. Lorsque vous achetez un article ici, il est imprimé à la demande, spécialement pour vous : il n’y a pas de stock en entrepôt, juste un dessin qui se transforme en un objet que vous pouvez porter, accrocher ou offrir en cadeau.

It all started as a way for me to relax. Drawing was—and still is—my way of slowing down, and at some point, those drawings began to develop their own style: something fun, a little magical, with one foot in darkness and the other gazing at the stars.

This shop is that style transformed into a universe. I don't think of it as a collection of unrelated themes, but rather as different constellations in the same sky: Gothmas brings ghosts and skulls dressed for Christmas, there are designs that are pure affection (and sarcasm) for dogs and cats, others carry the flag and Latin nostalgia, others are a vintage atlas of birds and flowers that look like they've been plucked from an old book, and in some corner, there's always room for a glass of wine and a cheese board.

Each design is born first as a hand-drawn sketch, before it becomes a finished product. When you buy something here, it's printed on demand especially for you—there's no stock waiting in a warehouse, just a drawing that becomes something you can use, hang, or give as a gift.
