Humble Beginnings
Nevada Candles was founded in August 2017 under the name MF Photography Design and was where we would sell our Landscape Canvases. At this point, we were using our Etsy Shop as more or a hobby than a business. In November 2017 we introduced our custom wood signs and began to see our sales rise. In May 2018, we took a break from our shop as our son was born and we wanted to spend time raising him. In July 2018, we rebranded as High Desert Canvas and created our Facebook and instagram pages to help us market and reach a broader range of customers and we began to move from a hobby mindset to a business mindset. In December 2018, we launched our top selling Mason Jar Candles and we began to see consistent growth in our shop. In June 2019, we began selling in person face to face around our community and getting our name out there within our community. During this time, we decided to begin offering our Local Delivery Program of personally delivering orders to customers who lived within 20 miles of our location. Today, we see orders coming into our shop from all around the country and within our community. Running our shop has been a challenging adventure that we hope to continue for years. Thank you to all who have supported us through the years. In June 2020, we rebranded as Nevada Candles and solely focused on our candles and improving our current candles and developing new scents. In 2022, we will be celebrating our 5th year as a business.
