Designing Away My Debt
I started Magic Mushroom Paper Co. in 2014 to pay off my student loan debt. Juggling a job and a side hustle during the pandemic became too much, so I had to close up shop in 2020. But I'm back now and excited to use my creative passions to change my life and help others. My goal is to spread happiness, humor, and encourage people to be uniquely themselves.
The best business advice I ever received came from a successful entrepreneur who told me that "I wasn't that special." He said to build a business around what I love, and like-minded people will naturally be drawn to me, no matter how niche I seem.
I took this advice to heart, and after spending years climbing the corporate ladder, I decided to jump off and start over. I'm relaunching the store with myself in mind, sharing designs that bring me joy, make me laugh, and reflect all the craziness, fun, silliness, and sarcasm that life throws my way.
