Making things keeps me centered
I've always been a collector and a maker. I love working with textiles, especially those that have a past. A set of linens no longer useful to the family it once served, a long-forgotten mitten, velvet curtains salvaged from an old church rectory: I treasure the sense of history I feel when I am handling these abandoned details of life.
I Stitch by hand, often adding carefully chosen antique buttons and odd found objects, to create my whimsical and quirky interpretations of traditional folk art objects, such as quilts, penny rugs, rag dolls, make-do pincushions, and fanciful creatures.
Thank you for your order. I truly appreciate your support of my efforts. I will carefully package your purchase and send it off within three business days of receiving your payment.
If you have any questions or requests, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Sincerely,
★ Morna Crites-Moore
