Each piece individually hand made by Donna Kohler in traditional metal working techniques using jeweler's saws, files, hammers, engraving and stamping tools, polishing and texturing equipment and a torch to solder pieces together. Sheets of metal and wire of sterling silver and copper are used to create each piece, often stones, pearls and beads and crystals are added.

Our name comes from Mother And Daughter In Law. Donna and Lisa, we inspire each other! Shop was originally DonnaKohler. Donna handcrafts the jewelry. Lisa is the social butterfly, when she has time. :)

Love the Shine of Silver and Versatility of Copper

There is something satisfying about having a piece of jewelry that is made of solid metal and not going to peel like plated metal jewelry. Sterling silver and copper can be kept from tarnishing by keeping them in anti-tarnish treated cotton pouches or on an anti-tarnish card in an air tight resealable poly bags. It takes just a light buff to bring up the shine.

We are Donna and Lisa, the name MaDil, is Mother And Daughter In Law. We inspire each other!

My first jewelry class was a night class at Beverly Hills High School then I studied with a Dutchman in Zeist, in The Netherlands, Holland. My workbench and tools were packed away for some years and are out again, eagerly creating.
