A little more about us …
Welcome to MacLean Street Designs! This is our creative space and our way of sharing our creative works with the world. My husband, Bruce, and I have shared a mutual hobby and love of photography for many years. This year, I am making my dream come true and making our photographs available for sale to the public. Our true love of photography lies in slowing down and capturing the beauty around us – in our travels, our community and our own backyard. There are some amazing sites in this world and we want to share them with you.
I’m a very visual person and blank white walls are just depressing to me. If you’re like me, to make your house feel like home, your walls need color, artwork, and personality. I’ve been filling my walls with personality for years. I got it from my mom. Not only do we love photography and sharing those imaging with others, but I have been painting and creating art since I was young. I’d make things for myself and as gifts. I’ve had many people tell me through the years that I need to turn my hobby and creativity into a business. So, here we are!
Though our creativity is a big part of who we are, more important is our love of our family and friends, and our deeply rooted faith. So we’ve tried to weave these all together in our unique creations. We’d love to help you with your decorating needs and help give your home some personality with some of our unique designs.
Our name, MacLean Street Designs = who we are (MacLean), our inspiration from the paths we’ve traveled in life (Street) and what we create (Designs). The inspirations for our business name also comes from a very special place we visited. There is a MacLean Street in Inverness, Nova Scotia. Nova Scotia was where Bruce’s parents were born and raised. We took our family to Nova Scotia in 2016 to scatter their ashes and we found MacLean Street while there. So it has a very special place in our hearts, as well as the inspiration for our business name.
