En 2022, tras las secuelas de la pandemia y el impacto de un deterioro en mi salud mental, me aislé y me resultó difícil expresarme. Después de probar varios pasatiempos para mantener mi mente ocupada, descubrí el arte de las uñas. Si bien mis habilidades inicialmente eran deficientes, me dio una salida para mi creatividad y me proporcionó la distracción que necesitaba de la realidad temporalmente. Crear obras de arte en un lienzo tan pequeño, como una uña, fue frustrante y satisfactorio a la vez, y me dio una razón para seguir adelante y mejorar mis habilidades todos los días. En los últimos meses, comencé a publicar contenido en Facebook y TikTok, así como a vender kits de uñas personalizados en persona, lo que recibió excelentes comentarios y otras personas me pidieron que abriera mi propia tienda. Me tomó tiempo aprovechar esta oportunidad debido a mis propias dudas, pero finalmente estoy lista para mostrar más de mis obras de arte a una nueva audiencia.

In 2022, following the aftermath from the pandemic and a dealing with the impact of a decline in my mental health, I became isolated and found it difficult to express myself. After trialing several hobbies to keep my mind occupied, I discovered nail art. While's my skills were initially lacking, it gave me an outlet for my creativity and provided the distraction I needed from reality temporarily. Creating artwork on such a tiny canvas, as a nail, was both frustrating and satisfying, giving me a reason to keep going and improving on my skills everyday. Over the past few months, I have began post content on Facebook and TikTok, as well as selling custom press on nail kits in person, which has received great feedback, with others requesting for me to open my own shop. It's taken me time to take this opportunity due to my own self doubt, but I'm finally ready to show more of my artwork to a new audience.
