The story behind Made By Maar
Made by Maar didn’t start with a business plan.
It started with a pause.
After burning out and being forced to slow down, I found myself in a place I hadn’t expected: asking the uncomfortable questions. "Who am I, really? What do I actually want? What makes me feel like me?"
Drawing had always been there. As a child, I dreamed of sharing my art with the world. But somewhere along the way, life became practical and that dream got carefully tucked away.
Through Postcrossing, penpalling and snail mail, I slowly found my way back. Sending small pieces of paper across the world reminded me how powerful creativity can be and how connection can travel far beyond where you are.
During a time where everything felt uncertain, creating felt steady.
Made by Maar is not just a shop.
It’s me choosing to dream again.
Choosing to create while I’m still figuring things out.
Choosing to build something that feels like home.
I may still be discovering who I am and what I want, but I know this: making art and sharing it feels right.
Lovingly made. Slightly chaotic. And very, very real.
