At Made with a Twist (MwaT), we're on a mission to help 100,000 women build financial freedom through crochet.

As a community of makers, we live out the belief that the maker community is better when we all work together, lifting one another up, and helping one another to serve our customers. The goal of MwaT is provide crochet patterns to sellers that are profit-optimized, meaning they are quick and inexpensive to make and they are designed to bring a profit to your business...profit-optimized!

As such, every pattern comes with express permission to sell wherever you'd like and, beginning in 2019, each pattern includes a chart with suggested retail pricing to take that bit of guesswork out of it.

When I began this shop, I was focused on selling physical products, but when my messy bun hat went viral in 2016 and I sold over 10,000 bun hat patterns to crochet professionals and hobbyists, I discovered the joy that comes from helping others reach their goals as handmade sellers.

For weeks, I received emails and DMs from sellers saying things like, "we were about to lose our house, but I made your pattern and sold over $3000 worth of hats at one craft fair!"
Or "our kids weren't going to get anything for Christmas this year because we were so financially strapped, but I made your hat and advertised it on Facebook and got over $700 in orders!"

It brings me to tears, still, to think about that time and many, many stories that were shared of women finding personal and financial freedom from selling products made from my profit-optimized patterns. And, as a psychotherapist dedicated to helping women thrive, this just touch my heart, right where I live.

It wasn't long after this that I started Crochetpreneur® , a blog specifically designed to offer tips and encouragement to women who want to take charge of their craft and build a business that helps them meet their personal and financial goals.

In January 2019, I shut down my counseling practice to focus 100% of my time on helping crochet business owners and opened up the Crochetpreneur® Business Academy - a masterclass and community dedicated to helping you thrive.
