Hi, I’m Maddie! Welcome to my shop! I’m an acrylic artist from Indiana who creates whimsical, magical original paintings that explore the intersections of mental health, nostalgia, femininity, and wonder. I create luminous, dreamlike works that sit between the familiar and the surreal. At the core of my practice is the contrast between the brightness of color versus the weight of memory. The paintings often glow with light and color, even when they grow out of darker places, as if reaching toward a source beyond myself. I use visible, expressive brushstrokes and a palette of pastel and neon colors to capture moments that feel nostalgic, glowing, and magical. My influences range from impressionism and modern surrealism to the glowing atmospheres of video games and concept art. My goal is to use color to transform everyday life and nostalgia into something otherworldly, while also hinting at the hidden layers of mental health beneath them.
