Frequently asked questions
How Does Our Digital Artwork Work?
We sell artwork as Digital Images, which means you receive the downloadable image files, i.e. nothing will be shipped to you in the mail. This is the most cost effective option as it gives you the freedom to print them in quality and style that best suits your needs and budget. To make things simple for you we send you the artwork images in a number of common sizes, which makes finding frames at your local homewares or office supply store nice and easy.
Where Do I Download My Purchased Files?
Accessing your files is nice and easy, but “where” you access them depends on how you ordered. Follow the steps as you can see in the next answers.🔶 ETSY ACCOUNT >If you ordered while "logged into your Etsy account", the link to download your artwork files will be found under the "Purchases and Reviews" section in your Etsy account.🔶 GUEST CHECKOUT >If you checked out "as a guest" your download links will be found in the email that was sent to you after purchase. Remember to check your junk/spam/archive folder as well. And if you still can't locate the email, try doing a search in your email program for "transaction@etsy.com".Mobile Device Users -> Where Do I Download The Files? How Do “.ZIP" Files Work?
In most cases your artwork will be downloaded as a ZIP file (due to Etsy's file size limits).A ".ZIP" file is simply a container that bundles all of the images together and shrinks the file size down for Etsy's system. All this means is that you'll need to open the ZIP file first, in order to access the printable JPG images inside. This is super easy though…After downloading the artwork ZIP file simply double-click on it, and it will automatically open itself up, revealing the JPG images ready for use. You'll then see that the filename for each image shows it's dimensions, making it easy for you to select the size you want to print.
Where Should I Get My Artwork Printed?
For the 5x7 and 8 x 10 inch sizes you can easily print at home using a standard home printer. For the larger sizes you will need to take them to your local print service to have them printed for you (typically by transferring the files onto a USB flash drive or memory card). There are many great places to get your artwork printed such as Walgreens, Walmart, Costco, Staples, Shutterfly, Nations Photo Lab, Snapfish etc just to name a few.
What PaperShould I Use?
Paper is something that you really get what you pay for, so I always recommend going for the best you can afford within your budget.Always go with heavier/thicker paper or cardstock when you can and choose Giclée ink if it's an option.Personally my favorite type of paper is Matte finish as I find that it achieves the most premium look and is usually cheaper than gloss.
