I am John living in the beautiful city Jinan which is the capital city of Shandong Province in China.I started to know the Leather-Craft since 2002 when i was studying industrial design in an engineering university.I studied Leather-Craft as an elective and i fell in love with the leather technology in the first class.I spent lots of time during school learning the technology and i became an designer in a leather bag making factory after i graduation.
Factory make items in assemble line and i have little time to make leather items my own.I was bored with the work in the factory and became an free leather craftsman in 2009.I spent one year studying with a famous leather craftsman teacher in Wuhan which is a famous city in China.After one year i came back to Jinan and started to make personalized leather items for high-end customers.
The life was peaceful and comfortable then i got financial pressure after my son was born in 2012.I decided to make more leather items for common customers besides high-end customers.So i developed some items to sell and it increased my income.I got to know the website etsy the first time when i was looking through a bbs which have many craftsman discussing on it.I was excited because i found it a good place to sell handmade leather items.I studied from several successful seller on the website and then i decided to develop the vintage and rustic items for foreign customers.My items become welcome on etsy one year later.
There are more and more orders on my etsy shop and in my offline studio and i can't finish them myself.So i invited my craftsman friend Liang to join in my business.Liang is talented in making leather bags and he is more skillful at painting.One year later the girl kelly joined us and she has also great talent in making leather items and she has better understanding on women preference than us.My wife Jessica has always been helping me manage the shop and take photos of the items in her spare time.We have been selling our handmade leather items on etsy for three years and it had been an important income for us.We are very grateful for etsy because there are many highly qualified customers on etsy who love my work and it introduced my work to the customers all over the world.
All the items in my shop is made in vegetable tanned nubuck leather which has nature texture. All the material we used is environment-friendly. We keep on developing a new product every few weeks and we hope every customer love our work.
