Welcome to our little corner of Etsy! We are so excited to be able to share our products with you!
Our shop ultimately came from a few different passions. We wanted something that we could do together. We wanted something that we could share our love of God. We also wanted something that we could share our love of Disney. All of these things wrapped up into one--drum roll please! Enter "Faith Trust & Sawdust!" Our name came from both of our loves. Our love for the Lord and one of our favorite movies, Peter Pan! Pretty clever, right?!
We have been together 12 years and married for 10! We met at our first job on a miniature golf course in high school and never looked back. Many years of college, including a year of both of us working and in grad school, along with two young kids at home was definitely interesting, but it has made us the hardworking couple that we are today. We know that none of our history would be possible without the grace of God.
Andres cuts and sands all of the wood signs. The shop would not be anything without this half. He puts in hours of work to get these signs ready and trust me, you'll love his attention to detail as much as I do! Nothing gets past his eye without the approval that he would also put the item on our own wall in our home. Andres is a teacher that works with special needs children during the day and super dad when he gets home. We are so grateful to be able to love on him everyday and we hope that you enjoy his handiwork as much as we do!
Amanda is the one who designs and puts the finishing touches on all of the products. The design part is the most fun part of the process, next to seeing the finished product! The staining is also done by Amanda... usually done after bedtime with the two kids! Day to day, Amanda works in management at a payroll company and she works on this store as a creative outlet long after what should be her bedtime.
Each purchase that you make it helping us provide for our two kids, Evan and Isabella. Our family is the biggest part of our lives and we are so grateful that you have chosen to help support us by making a purchase. Our ultimate goal with this shop is to one day be able to take a couple of local kids each year to Disneyland to enjoy a carefree day full of fun and excitement that otherwise they would not experience. We were fortunate enough to take a couple of brothers to Disneyland in 2015 and it was the most incredible experience to share our happy place with these two boys who had never been able to see the joy of the Happiest Place on Earth.
