Hi!
My name is Stephanie and home for me is Scottsdale, AZ, located in the heart of the Sonoran Desert . This area is known as "The Valley of the Sun" and yes it is HOT for a large portion of the year.... making my cool studio a very welcome place to be :)
I grew up on a farm in the English countryside and went to Art School for 4 years where I pursued my passion for art and design. I have been making things for as long as I can remember. I LOVE what I do and spend many happy hours working on new designs.
I tend to think of jewelry as a form of wearable art that can make you happy. I love searching for the perfect mix of beads & findings that go into my work..... the details are important to me, so I'm looking at color, balance & texture and trying to mix these elements in such a way that there is a harmony to them.
I work a couple of days a week in a fabulous bead & gemstone store where I teach classes, which is a lot of fun. This job also feeds my bead & gemstone addiction so the work surfaces in my studio are often filled with treasures just asking to be put together..... there are not enough hours in the day!
I love working with Czech glass, semi precious beads and silver and I'm always on the look out for vintage beads that I can include in my work.... it's fun to give something new life.
My pieces have an eclectic Boho vibe often with a beachy twist... in my next life I want to live at the beach! Most of my designs are one of a kind but sometimes I will do a limited number of a similar design.
