My Story - Ceramic Artist and Potter, Soap and Candle Maker
Hi, I’m Anthony — the hands and heart behind Majewski Pottery and Soap Company. Every piece I create begins with one simple goal: to bring beauty, authenticity, and a sense of calm to everyday life.
I’ve been working with clay since I was a kid, and that first moment my hands touched the wheel, I knew I’d found my calling. Today, I craft small-batch pottery from my home studio in Chesterton, Indiana, where I focus on functional, timeless designs that elevate daily rituals — from your morning coffee to your evening meal.
My work blends traditional craftsmanship with a modern aesthetic, inspired by the natural world and the quiet beauty of simplicity. You’ll find:
- Tableware and serveware — dinner plates, bowls, mugs, and pour-over sets made to be used and loved daily.
- Coffee and tea collections — cozy mugs, creamers, teapots, and sugar jars, perfect for quiet moments or shared conversation.
- Home and garden pieces — planters, vases, candle holders, and decorative accents that bring warmth and texture into any space.
- Lamps and statement pieces — hand-thrown bases finished with custom glazes that celebrate organic form and light.
- Every piece is individually handmade, fired with care, and finished with non-toxic glazes. No two pieces are ever exactly alike — that’s part of their charm and the reminder that they were made by human hands.
Sustainability is deeply important to me. I package each order with eco-friendly materials, avoiding single-use plastics wherever possible.
You can often find me at the Chesterton European Market on summer weekends or the Chesterton Art Fair — and I hope to bring my work to more art markets across the Midwest soon.
