Soy Laura, propietaria y Chief Joy Maker en MakeaDaze. Makeadaze es el hogar de diseños y accesorios vívidos y vibrantes que hacen una declaración. Cada pieza está hecha a mano y es única con un guiño al estilo vintage y la moda.
Durante años he sido un artesano entusiasta y coleccionista de cosas que me hacen sonreír.
Decidí comenzar a hacer piezas que no siguieran una tendencia o idea establecida, sino que hicieran sonreír a la gente. Siempre me hace feliz cuando escucho comentarios de clientes en los mercados sobre lo feliz que se ve mi puesto.
Todos deberíamos tener un poco de felicidad en nuestros días y me gusta tener una pieza de joyería o accesorio que me haga sonreír solo de notarlo.
Es por eso que hago lo que hago: es tan fácil sentirse deprimido en este mundo ocupado y agitado, así que ¿por qué no tener algo que pueda recordarte que hay cosas por las que vale la pena sonreír?
El nombre MakeaDaze proviene de mi infancia cuando, los fines de semana, teníamos "Maker Days" y hacíamos actividades artesanales con ollas de yogur sobrantes, palitos de caramelo y limpiadores de tuberías sin fin. Pensé en lo que quería que fuera MakeaDaze y, sobre todo, quiero que sea sobre el tipo de alegría que experimentamos cuando éramos niños.
Esa sensación cuando escuchas tu canción favorita sonando en la radio. El sabor de un pop gaseoso frío o un polo helado en un día caluroso. El placer de hacer algo genial por primera vez y alguien más está allí para presenciar tu magia.
Quiero hacer cosas que te den la misma sensación y hacer una declaración fabulosa mientras lo haces. Makeadaze se trata de brillo y alegría incluso en el paquete más pequeño.

For years l’ve been a keen crafter and collector of things that make me smile.
I decided to start making pieces that didn’t follow a set trend or idea but instead made people smile. It always makes me happy when I hear comments from customers at markets about how happy my stall looks.
We should all have a bit of happiness in our days and I like to have a piece of jewellery or accessory that makes me beam just noticing it.
That’s why I do what I do - it’s so easy to feel down in this busy, hectic world so why not have something that can remind you that there are things worth smiling about?
The name MakeaDaze comes from my childhood when, on weekends, we’d have “Maker Days” and do craft activities using leftover yoghurt pots, lolly sticks and endless pipe cleaners. I thought about what I wanted MakeaDaze to be and most of all, I want it to about the kind of joy we experience as kids.
That feeling when you hear your fav song blasting on the radio. The taste of a cold fizzy pop or ice lolly on a hot day. The delight at doing something cool for the first time ever and someone else is there to witness your wizardry.
I want to make things that give you that same feeling and to make a fab statement while doing it. Makeadaze is about sparkle and joy in even the smallest parcel.
