MakeMeMinnie

My name is Cindi. I am a working mom with a husband and 3 children. MakeMeMinnie was started when our local high school was hosting Relay For Life with a Disney Theme. I was the Captain of Team Ohana. It's consisted of friends and family that fought cancer and won and who lost loved ones to cancer. Our team was looking for a fundraiser that would be fun for all ages. Who doesn't love Mickey & Minnie Mouse? So I Googled ideas on how to make them. I found a basic idea and created my own from there. Lots of great designs out there but I was looking for something unique. I made my pattern from our Silver Team Magnets that we earned and went from there. The ears were all black with a simple bow in many colors and patterns. I made 100 of them and sold out at the event within an hour. They were a hit! From there I had some small requests from friends for their family trips to Disney or a birthday party. After a year or 2 some new ideas were created from being a little more creative with ribbon and foam. That is when MakeMeMinnie became an Etsy Shop. Slowly new designs were added as customers were looking for new and creative twists on their favorite characters. Cheerleading and dance teams wanted to show off their team spirit and brides and grooms wanted to share their special day.
MakeMeMinnie has grown in leaps and bounds, in ways I never imagined it could. I am so proud of what it has become and look forward to what the future will bring.
I design and create every ear myself. I get help from my husband where possible and my daughter's give me ideas on what they like. Of course they love them all so it's not easy deciding what ears will come with us on our trips to WDW. I enjoy creating new characters when customers are looking for some thing new and different. I will try anything once and have been pretty lucky with getting it right.
With success comes downfalls. The shop is so busy that sometimes orders cannot be completed due to time constraints. Occasionally last minute requests have to be turned away. I don't say "no" often enough but it does happen. I am sorry if it has happened to you. Every effort is made so that every customer as their request on time and with great quality. To ensure that I have to allow a certain amount t of time everyday to make sure every order is done completely, correctly and on time. I am not prefect so mistakes are made but quickly resolved so that both parties are pleased with the resolution. Feedback is very important so customer satisfaction plays a huge roll in why I work so hard. Customer feedback both positive and negative impact all shops and should be thought out before posting. Once written they cannot be removed. So my work is always done to my best ability so there's no doubt when you are writing yours. I appreciate my customers and my feedback reflects on the hard work and commitment I have to them.
