Our Shop Story
To be honest, Knot-ems were kind of an accident. Our business started as a maxi skirt business after people came up to me and complimented me on a set of three matching maxi skirts I had made for my daughters and I. Eventually, I wanted to add an accessory to make the maxi skirts feel like a complete wardrobe.
I sat down one night without any elastic and tried to see if I could make a knotted head wrap work with one piece of fabric. It took me a few hours of engineering and some trial and error but the next morning I had some matching Knot-ems to go with our maxi skirts. I thought they'd be cute, but before I knew it people were asking for the Knot-ems without the skirts until eventually the only things we were making were Knot-ems.
Starting this business along with our wonderful customers have been such blessings in our lives. It has given my husband and I the opportunity to be home together raising the kids during the day and working together to get orders out at night. We love what we do and hope that you'll love the product.
