Welcome to Magill! I'm Emily, the face and creative behind Magill. I live in San Diego, California with my husband Jeff and two sons Max and Cameron. Magill is all sewn from my home studio in between feeding my infant son Cam or wrangling my toddler son Max. Each item is custom made for the individual order with special attention to detail. When you purchase from Magill you are helping support myself, my family and my passion for bringing to life more personalized clothing that will be cherished for a lifetime.

BACKGROUND:
I sewed my first piece of clothing when I was 13 years old and instantly fell in love with the creation process and magic of designing. Over the following years fast-fashion dominated the clothing industry & I found myself seeking unique pieces rather than mass-production. During the pandemic I was looking for ways to create new clothing for my husband and son and stumbled upon the idea for custom sweatshirts with stitched varsity letters. The result was a unique piece that had vintage charm, perfect for a cool laid-back style. Over the years, I've expanded this stitched wool varsity letter technique to various adult sweatshirts, kids sweatshirts, kids sweaters and letter patches.

As a mom, I am always looking for personal and unique clothing for my kids that is as special as they are. Bonus points if they look stylish while wearing it! Creating custom sweatshirts and sweaters is a great gift idea or to just make your little one feel special in their clothing.
